John Dana Gibson, principal of Gibson Design, is a branding and marketing communications professional with significant experience in brand identity design, messaging development, and marketing channel strategy. His work has received awards in international, national, and regional design competitions and has appeared in a variety of design-industry publications.

As an adjunct instructor, John created curriculum that led to the accreditation of a Connecticut community college graphic-design program. He has presented on design topics for a variety of institutions and professional organizations, including: the Harvard University Graduate School of Education, New York University, AIGA (formerly the American Institute of Graphic Arts), the Connecticut Art Directors Club, the Southern New England Chapter of the American Marketing Association.

John has served as an executive board member for the Connecticut Art Directors Club in the roles of treasurer and education chair and was a founding executive board member and financial director of AIGA CT.
